BP Oil Spill Stalls Gulf Loop Current: Global Consequences if Current Fails to Reorganize

BP Oil Spill Stalls Gulf Loop Current: Global Consequences if Current Fails to Reorganize

Here is another reason why the US government and BP will continue to lose some sleep (I hope). It may also be one reason why there are so many distracting marshmallow "catastrophes" the media is pushing our way, so we won't pay attention to real concerns like this one.

This BP oil spill disaster is not going away. The spinners have lied again and again, trying to convince the people that all is well, to come down to the Gulf and swim and spend some money (see my article on Michelle Obama here), that the worst is over.

Well, guess what. The worst is not over. The Gulf Loop Current is stalling.

The what?

The Gulf Loop Current. The main current in the Gulf. It loops around the Gulf states and then around Florida and then sends warm water northward along the Atlantic Seaboard. If it stalls (ie. doesn't flow), then warm water doesn't flow northward along the seaboard, and things get colder, especially new England winters. That's putting it mildly. And ecologically, many other dominoes fall. Ever hear of "The Butterfly Effect?" Ever seen "The Day After Tomorrow?"

The excess oil in the water plus all the Corexit, which has essentially made the oil almost colloidal, like shaking up a bottle of oil and vinegar, has created a toxic sludge that is heavier than pure clean ocean water and therefore doesn't flow as swiftly or naturally. It has essentially stalled.

Is it stopped for good? Will it "fix" itself and resume?

Never you mind is the policy of the PTB. The government and BP figure you don't need to know about this. That's why you haven't been hearing about it. Spend some money instead - go shopping - and worry about Islamic extremists. Nothing to see here...
