Collateral Murder - A 2007 Wiki Leak

Collateral Murder

As of this writing, WikiLeaks is in the prominent world news, and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested by London police and awaits trial for rape charges.
Is WikiLeaks the real deal? A beacon of hope amidst war landscapes of black smoke and desolated buildings, known as “theaters of war?” Is Assange a hero? Or is WikiLeaks a CIA-fashioned front as some claim, and Assange a patsy working for either CIA or MOSSAD or (pick your own group…)?

To my mind, one thing is for certain. We cannot know the truth by listening to mainstream media tell us what to think. We will not learn the truth from CNN, Glen Beck, Keith Olbermann, or Rachel Maddow, as well-meaning as some of these celebrity journalists and their colleagues may be.

Julian Assange - WikiLeaks Publisher
The answer is to go to the site and see for yourself. And then decide.

Here is one example:
From the video “Collateral Murder” -
“On the morning of July 12, 2007, two Apache helicopters using 30 mm cannon fire killed about a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad.
Two children were also wounded.
Although some of the men appear to have been armed, the behavior of nearly everyone was relaxed.
The U.S. military initially claimed that all the dead were anti-Iraqi forces or insurgents. "
The stories of most of those who were killed are unknown. But among the dead were two Reuters news employees, Saeed Chmagh and Namir Noor-Eldeen.
The U.S. military claimed the victims died in a “battle” that took place between U.S. forces and insurgents.

“There is no question that coalition forces were clearly engaged in combat operations against a hostile force.”
- Lieutenant-Colonel Scott Bleichwehl, spokesman for U.S. forces in Baghdad. (New York Times)

In August 2007, Reuters used the Freedom of Information Act to request a copy of the video evidence taken from the primary helicopter involved in the attack. The video has not been released… until now.
WikiLeaks obtained and decrypted the video you are about to see...”
(from the video)

This is a moving and riveting video, depicting the shooting of innocent civilians in Iraq, seen from an Apache helicopter.
The shorter video version follows, obtained through the WikiLeaks website.
~

Some observations:
-Those people on the ground are clearly not engaged in a battle or war-like manner. They are too relaxed and nonchalant.
-The laughter / banter among the helicopter crew is joking and derisive, as if they are playing a video game.

What do you think?

There is a longer video on the same page, along with an interview video, U.S. soldier Ethan McCord’s eyewitness story.

PS - Use Startpage. (http://www.startpage.com/)
If you choose to go to the WikiLeaks site to explore for yourself (before it is completely removed from the internet, thanks to backward-thinking neanderthals like Joe Lieberman - U.S. Senator, Democrat, Connecticut ), don’t go through Google. Google records IP addresses. Go through Startpage instead. They do not save IP addresses, and your connection will be safer.

Helen Thomas Speaks the Truth About Zionism - and is Condemned...by guess who?

~
If you want to know how ironclad the Israel / Zionist hold on the U.S. really is, look no further than the current Helen Thomas story.

“I told the truth,” Helen Thomas said.

Wayne State University, the Detroit, Michigan, institution that Thomas graduated from in 1942, said in a statement Friday that “the school will no longer give out the Helen Thomas Spirit of Diversity in the Media Award.” – (According to CNN)

Huh?!

Diversity in the Media? – that is supposed to mean, among other interpretations, that all opinions are respected, not punished. Furthermore, this is Helen Thomas! This is the person the award is named after!!

(Excuse me while I ROTFL.)

"Wayne State encourages free speech and open dialogue, and respects diverse viewpoints," the school's statement said. "However, the university strongly condemns the anti-Semitic remarks made by Helen Thomas during a conference yesterday." (Dec. 2, 2010)
Helen Thomas - May 27, 2010

What was the so-called “anti-Semitic” remark?

"Congress, the White House and Hollywood, Wall Street are owned by the Zionists." Thomas said recently. "No question."

According to CNN, Thomas was voicing “her opinion on Jewish people in the United States.”

No. She was not. She did not mention “Jews.” She said “Zionists.”

Thomas, a former White House columnist for the Hearst media chain, was forcibly retired earlier this year from her position after a video circulated in which she told a rabbi that Israel should "get the hell out of Palestine." She also said Jewish people should leave Israel and go home to "Poland, Germany ... and America and everywhere else." She later apologized for these comments and resigned her position.

But she has not remained silent, nor is she apologetic any longer. She knows all too well that Israel does not forgive or forget.

"I can call a president of the United States anything in the book but I can't touch Israel, which has Jewish-only roads in the West Bank," Thomas said. "No American would tolerate that -- white-only roads."

That’s about the size of it. Have you ever wondered why? You can say anything you want about the Pope, Catholics, Irish, Italians, Iran, Arabs. Call bankers “banksters” or blood-sucking vermin. Make fun of the Federal Reserve. Nobody cares. But if you make a statement about Zionist Israel owning the White House (politics), Hollywood (media), and Wall Street (business and banking), Zionist Israel demonstrates how wrong you are - by forcing you to apologize and retire. Essentially, by proving your point.

They could not do this if Thomas’ statement (and Oliver Stone and others) were not true.
Seeing anything wrong with this picture yet?

So much for Zionist-controlled “Diversity” Awards.

A special Thanks! to Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan for having the courage and temerity to slander a 90 year old woman of integrity, kick her when she's down, and then grovel so low to Zionist bosses.

Note:
Zionism is not Judaism. Zionism is a political movement and organization. Zionism is no more a religion to Jews than democracy is to Democrats. (Just as the Federal Reserve is no more federal than Federal Express). Judaism has been muddied for too long by mixing Zionist politics with the religious roots of early Hebrews as portrayed in the Torah and the Bible. “Zionists” know this. It is why they play this guilt trump card so often. They know that few people recognize the difference.

Obama to ABC: Pat-downs worth the price

~
Don’t worry about the TSA's invasive horrors. It’s Okay. USA Today reports that President Obama understands.

Whew... Am I ever relieved. And if I know one thing, you can trust USA Today. (I don't know about USA tomorrow, though).    (original story here.)

"This is going to be something that evolves. We are going to have to work on it," Obama says. In other words, it’s just a flawed technology, that's all. Sure it needs improvement, but because of expediency, there’s no time to improve it yet. What's the big deal? Until then, it's either leer or grope or don't travel.

(Slap to forehead). Why didn’t I think of that before all this uproar about TSA turned into cries of perversity and boiling blood? Thank God I can stop yelling “Satanists!! Satanists, all of you! Darn you to Heck!”

All this finger pointing instead of weighing in all the facts first. Boy is my face ever red!!

This gives me renewed hope that one day the only one touching my junk will be me.
…Er, you know what I mean.

Don't Touch My !!@#!! Junk!!

(BTW, which idiot started this word “junk?” Why can’t I say “balls” or “privates?” I mean, gimme a break. JUNK? I have more respect for my genitalia than that! But I digress…)

Don't Touch My
!!@#!! Zucchini either!!

FYI, "Touch my junk" is a phrase coined  by John Tyner, a 31-year-old software engineer from California, who resisted a 'groin check' at San Diego Airport which resulted in him being escorted from the premises.

~

"I understand people's frustrations with it,” Obama says comfortingly, “but I also know that if there was an explosion in the air that killed a couple of hundred people ... and it turned out that we could have prevented it… possibly... that would be something that would be pretty upsetting to most of us… including me."
I understand...

Including me…Wow...he included himself…Thank you for that, Barry Soetero! You just got to love him!  I am positively glowing inside with the President’s understanding. Of course it doesn’t change a thing, and he still isn’t going to do anything about it, simply because he’s not in a position to do much about anything except officially pardon a turkey on Thanksgiving. This is about the limit of his current powers. But at least now I’ve got my mind right. At least now I know how upset he would be if a plane blew up because I wouldn’t let some fat sweaty guy put his hand on my balls and my butt. Am I ever shamed. And to think in spite of his understanding of travelers’ frustrations and national whining, he still managed to have a happy Thanksgiving and cut his lip playing basketball. What a hero! Imagine the courage!

Apparently, demoralizing and sexually humiliating hundreds of thousands of tax-paying travelers, or radiating hundreds of thousands of people whose immune systems may already be compromised, or sexually traumatizing hundreds of thousands of children and teenagers and women is less important.

It’s a tough decision, Barry, but then it’s lonely at the top. Thank God you won’t be on that plane that …possibly…explodes, or ever have to have your junk ogled, or your wife’s, or your daughters’.

Whatever tragedies and traumas and perversities happen to the rest of us in the days, weeks, and months to come, what a comfort it will be to be constantly reminded of how safe we are...just in case we forget.

Thanks for having so much personal integrity, Barry...
 ~

But wait, there's  more...
According to Joseph Schwieterman, a Chicago-based transportation expert, "Americans have yet to make any really major - (really major???! ) - sacrifices for their security. Pat-downs and scanners are minimally evasive, and there's even resistance to this, just 15 seconds of awkwardness.

In other words, why are you so upset at a little bit of groping and feeling? It's only 15 seconds, fercrissakes...
Well Joe, exactly how long does it take to be groped before it qualifies as molestation?

~

Strange slip of the tongue here. I believe he means invasive - perhaps transportation "experts" are not known for their correct use of grammar - but in another sense he is absolutely right. These pat downs and machines are minimally evasive. There is very little one can do to evade them!

Pay no attention to that TSA man behind the curtain!

Getting Rich from the TSA Naked Body Scanners

I can't imagine anyone walking away from an airport TSA scan or pat-down thinking, "Boy do I feel safe! I sure am glad TSA is on top of things!"

With so much flack coming down on TSA, and all the flagrant related instances reported in the news, those that we are "allowed" to hear about anyway, you gotta conclude that someone is making lots of money here. Well guess what, congratulations! You're absolutely right! There are some people at the top who are making money hand over fist at the expense of your embarrassment. At the top of the list is former Secretary of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff. Not only did he lobby heavily for the TSA bill that got this government-approved porno show rolling, he's also making money from selling the equipment!! Click here to read the story.

Way to Go, Ron
Ron Paul, 21st century's Don Quixote (and I mean that in a good way), lambasted the TSA in introducing his bill to deal with these money-making perverts. I've never heard him more irate and fed up. You can see the video here.

The only weak spot with Ron's speech is that he is not calling for the dismantling of the TSA program. That is a mistake. Instead, he is calling for TSA employees to be held more accountable or liable for groping too invasively. The language is not solution-specific, and presents a very gray area.

*  *

And yet, somehow, this whole situation seems wrong, not just in the obvious ways, the intrusive Xrays and pat-downs, which are bad enough, but the fact that Americans are getting more horrified and "fed up" and outspoken with being sexually molested and viewed at airports than they are shocked and horrified at an illegal war(s) and its horrors that has gone on now for 9 - 10 year in its current incarnation, and at a government and corporate system that is so corrupt and devoid of compassion it is beyond "fixing." The lists could go on. But Americans are feeling it where it hurts the most apparently, not just metaphorically, in their pocketbooks, as you might think, but physically, in their genitalia and vulnerability to exposure.

"And Adam and Eve saw that they were naked, and they were ashamed."

Not that we should not be shocked at these TSA incidents. TSA is one more gross, perverted incident in a long list of many. But let us not rid ourselves of TSA and walk away dusting our hands and thinking, "Well, that's done, thank God. Now we can go back to our lives."

Be upset about TSA, and rightfully so. Be angry about it. Throw the bums out. And then use that same anger to go deeper, and throw all the other bums out as well, including Barry Sotero.

Don't Leave Home Without Worrying!!

U.S. to Issue Terrorism Alert for Travel to Europe (click to read original story)
~
Terrorism is now officially world-wide, in case you didn't know. This means that everyone in the world is potentially susceptible to a terrorist attack wherever you are. If you are wondering should I worry? then listen to this:

According to the neutral, influential, extremely fair and un-biased New York Times
("all the news we're told to print, fits"):

"The State Department plans to issue an alert on Sunday (Oct 3, 2010) urging Americans traveling to Europe to be vigilant about possible terrorist attacks, an American official said Saturday...The official, who did not want to be identified speaking about internal government deliberations, said a stronger “travel warning” that might advise Americans not to visit Europe was not under consideration."

In other words, you are all in danger and God help you if you leave your house!!...

(or Allah... if God's not around)

...but if  you have plenty of money and can afford a plane ticket and a hotel discount package thanks to one of William Shatner's actor's studio-trained TV commercials, then by all means, go to Europe. Worry, certainly. But you don't have to be careful; just be "vigilant." For some reason terrorism is apparently more dangerous for those who have little money to travel.

What this all means is: Yes, you should worry. You should start worrying right now and not stop! Better you should stay home, but if you must go somewhere, don't leave home without worrying.

So how bad is it?!

Boring...

You know how NORAD has their typical, so-so, boring lights that blink different colors to go from Def Con 1, Def Con 2, 3, and so on (yawn) while blaring that awful foghorn-type warning thing for nuclear war? So unawesome, so 20th century.

Well now we have a similar system in development for terrorism: Terror 1, Terror 2, etc. except the colors are translucent and way cooler because they were designed by State Department tekkies who secretly cross-dress and fat State Department secretaries who can really move booty and shake that thing... instead of military tekkies and stiff V-shaped military women who don't dance and don't tell. So now as the danger intensifies, instead of an annoying head-splitting foghorn type warning, there's "Yo! Yo!" and suitable gangsta music playing... (BTW, I don't mean Yo Yo Ma, okay? Altho it is a cool name.) ...and then the lights gyrate and blink to the music. It is way too cool...but I digress...

Okay, I admit, so far it's only a concept in development. The point is, metaphorically, the Terror lights have gone way past Terror 9 to half-past Terror Bin Laden!! Remember, and never forget, that he is causing all of this!

So...As the NY Times article clearly and wisely implies, you really shouldn't go anywhere.

However, if you should decide on a whim to go on a trip, and you simply cannot decide between Paris, France or Kabul, Afghanistan, then it doesn't matter. You are in serious danger in both places!! I'm not kidding about this...and neither is the official who doesn't want to be identified speaking about internal government deliberations.

(There is a rumor going around that the 'American' official may be Bin Laden himself!!! And if he's around, no matter where you are in the world...well, you know what that means...)

They're coming... to get you... Barbara... (John, Harold, Brigitte, whoever)

They're coming to get us all. So let us face facts calmly and rationally. No one is safe!!

It means Yes, you should worry. Terrorism has become so widespread it's rampant, world-rampant. The only place you are officially safe is in your bed under the covers. That kind of rampant!

What about the children?

Never mind them! After even one day at school they can't possibly be trusted. You have no idea what they've been learning...

...and neither do they...

So be worried and stop traveling (unless you still have plenty of money) and bring a sigh of relief to the State Department who has issued this latest worry alert. They will feel so much better, knowing they've done their job if you worry.

Please...they've worked so hard. Don't disappoint them.

Update U.S. Issues a Terrorism Alert for Travel in Europe

"The State Department issued an alert on Sunday urging Americans traveling to Europe to be vigilant about possible terrorist attacks, naming Al Qaeda as one source of the concern. The British government, meanwhile, raised the threat of terrorism to "high" from "general" for Britons in France and Germany."

So...What is the difference between "general" terrorism and "high" terrorism?

"Good evening, I'm Morty Schwanz with the FOXY news, the most trusted news in the world at this precise moment... according to our statistics, anyway...

Top story tonight:
TERRORISM!!...
...is only General today, but there is a strong political pressure coming from the middle east blowing west, and by tomorrow it will be High...
Locked doors are highly recommended."

"The dilemma for authorities in both Europe and the United States is will be  (NYT typo - not mine)  how best to inform the public of a threat that intelligence analysts believe is real but whose contours remain vague – “credible” but not “specific,” in agency jargon." (from original story)

In other words, "how best to inform the public of a threat" where there is none.

Remember, the above quote is from the New York Times, the same paper and the same reporter who informed us only yesterday that all this might happen. And now...well, there you go.

Sheer visionaries.

Thank you State Department. Thank you New York Times, and all you other "independent" publications and TV media for giving us stiff and fair warning, and giving a clear name and face to our worry. Without you, we would have no idea what to worry about. Thank you, thank you.

As for me, I'm going to see if I can get my newspaper carrier to toss my paper much closer to my porch during his drive-by delivery so I don't have to venture too far outside for a while.

The Emergency Bra that doubles as a facemask

The Emergency Bra that doubles as a facemask

~
From our Huh?!! Dept.

I don't know why this concept scares me a little. It is actually rather ingenious in its way. Anyway, a picture's worth a thousand words in this case, so check it out Here along with some additional pictures. (Check out the expression in the guy's eyes.)

Don't worry, men! I predict you will not be left out in case of terror or biological attack. I predict a new men's jock strap (or V brief/thong), suitable for face mask wear also, may soon follow. Extra padding will help filter the air.

In addition, as a special boon to men, it will also create a flattering enhancement bulge in the crotch of their pants, and like the standard rear view mirror on a car passenger door, make objects therein appear bigger than they are.

There are more comments I could make here, but I think I will let this one go.

BP Oil Spill Stalls Gulf Loop Current: Global Consequences if Current Fails to Reorganize

BP Oil Spill Stalls Gulf Loop Current: Global Consequences if Current Fails to Reorganize
~
Here is another reason why the US government and BP will continue to lose some sleep (I hope). It may also be one reason why there are so many distracting marshmallow "catastrophes" the media is pushing our way, so we won't pay attention to real concerns like this one.

This BP oil spill disaster is not going away. The spinners have lied again and again, trying to convince the people that all is well, to come down to the Gulf and swim and spend some money (see my article on Michelle Obama here), that the worst is over.

Well, guess what. The worst is not over. The Gulf Loop Current is stalling.

The what?

The Gulf Loop Current. The main current in the Gulf. It loops around the Gulf states and then around Florida and then sends warm water northward along the Atlantic Seaboard. If it stalls (ie. doesn't flow), then warm water doesn't flow northward along the seaboard, and things get colder, especially new England winters. That's putting it mildly. And ecologically, many other dominoes fall. Ever hear of "The Butterfly Effect?" Ever seen "The Day After Tomorrow?"

The excess oil in the water plus all the Corexit, which has essentially made the oil almost colloidal, like shaking up a bottle of oil and vinegar, has created a toxic sludge that is heavier than pure clean ocean water and therefore doesn't flow as swiftly or naturally. It has essentially stalled.

Is it stopped for good? Will it "fix" itself and resume?

Never you mind is the policy of the PTB. The government and BP figure you don't need to know about this. That's why you haven't been hearing about it. Spend some money instead - go shopping - and worry about Islamic extremists. Nothing to see here...
Read the article here.

Obama says capturing bin Laden extremely important to national security

Obama (wtf?) says capturing bin Laden extremely important to national security
~
Oh Brother! Dept.

Where the @#!! is Bin Ladenferchrissakes???

I was going to write something intelligent and clever here, but instead I am so flummoxed - because this is Obama saying this and not someone else - that all I can say is...
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!
(while shaking head)

Having said that, please see my previous article on a similar Bin Laden headline featuring General Petraeus.

Meanwhile, as you contemplate where the @#!! Bin Laden could be, why not have some fun playing "Where's Bin Laden??!!"  *

President Obama says Quran burning is a “destructive act.”
Barry Soetero agrees with him.
Hillary Clinton says "…outrageous!" and "...aberrational!"
Ex-President Clinton says, “Hillary, you took the words right out of my mouth…”
Hillary says, “I was referring to you and Monica…”

Our top leaders. They know about destructive, outrageous, aberrant behavior. They all agree that burning the Quran is a destructive, outrageous, aberrational act.

To them I say:
"What?... like continuing to wage destructive, outrageous, aberrational wars to steal oil by toppling governments in Iraq and Afghanistan (and plans for Pakistan and Iran?) for 9 years running is not??"

Not to mention ignoring, for the most part, treasonous planning of attacks against one of our own cities on 9-11 by various yet-to-be-officially-indicted insiders, and refusing to investigate the crimes properly.

Well, I digress...

The problem I have with this Terry Jones Quran story is that the gist of it is not really about people being hurt or killed, as the celebriticians theorize. After all, we have had plenty of that already, and the celebriticians have demonstrated clearly enough that the health of their constituency is not a high priority for them. The health of the Dollar is far more important.

No, this is about real-time drama – real-time swearing and yelling, name calling and using the F-word, just like reality TV, only real reality - involving a religious people the U.S. pretends are not fanatical and abusive to women - and their religion that the U.S. pretends is not threatening to take over Christian America - being insulted and incited to violence, hate and fear-mongering in our own country and overseas.

What a coincidence. Just the kind of drama the media loves. What a lucky break for them.

Yes, we can thank the media for this latest hand grenade. Thanks guys. Chances are, few would be paying any attention to Pastor Jones if you hadn’t spread the rumors around. Terry Jones?...the Monty Python guy?...That Terry Jones?...He's going to do what?...Is he going to wear a dress?...

Thanks a lot.

But of course you knew that going in, didn’t you…You knew that Jones wanted his platform, his 15 minutes of fame, and you gladly gave it to him for the sake of a news story, no matter what the cost.

Was this a freak of nature that this door opened for Jones?  Or was it a calculated move on his part, to announce a Quran burning to his congregation, hoping the story would pick up national attention this swiftly in time for the anniversary of 9-11? Or can we thank others for giving the story to the media, or even planning the whole story? CIA? Or Affiliates? Others? Does it go that deep?

Or is the media acting alone on this one? Considering the media is owned by the richest moguls in the world, it is hard to believe. As I look upon the ever-changing faces of TV news clones, it becomes more glaringly apparent everyday that the men are all brains and no balls and the women are all hair and no brains. And virtually no integrity with either. Nevertheless, so far the whole escalation of events seems to be a fluke. Chance publicity.

Even so, this whole story smells bad, like a grimy refrigerator wall that hasn’t been cleaned in a while. It stinks of propaganda. When stories like this appear, my inner radar gets switched on and I look around and I ask myself, “Why does this story feel like a mass distraction? What else is going on in the news that I’m not supposed to notice?”

What I want to know is where is all this same inflamed anger and demand for truth and justice over the events of 9-11-2001? Instead of covering the Arabs with a blanket that says YOU GUYS DID THIS and leaving things to the government to take care of, why are people not seeing the obvious anomalies and confusing suspicious events of that day? (If you’re not sure what anomalies means, I retract the question for you temporarily. Go look it up.)

Where is all the shock and awe that ought to be in people every week of every year since the deaths of thousands due to 9-11, and to all of the Middle East wars over the years since? Why is everyone more up in arms all of a sudden at the idea of some wild-haired pastor with a bad mustache burning a religious book that, most likely, no one who is not Islamic has read? The Quran has been around longer than Mein Kampf or the Kommunist Manifesto. Why now?

Another case of horrendously-mixed priorities.

Maybe it’s all the drugs in the drinking water, or all the Monsanto food we’re secretly eating that has knocked out of us the will to discern and protest what really matters.

Or maybe it is simply about changing the location of the proposed mosque building at 9-11 “Ground Zero.”  After all, this alone has gotten Pastor Jones to consider suspending the Quran burning until that decision is reached, at least at this writing.

“Speaking to NBC's "Today" show, the Rev. Terry Jones said if he meets with the Imam Muhammad Musri, ( the president of the Islamic Society of Central Florida ) in New York, he won't burn the Quran. It wasn't clear if he meant the burning would be halted indefinitely or just for Saturday…”

*          *

(“Ground Zero” - Ironic name for the NYC attack site, coming from the only country in the world to launch two atomic / nuclear WMDs against a "surrendered" country, thereby coining the phrase. It is speculated that a newer evolved form of nuclear apparatus (ie.weapon) was used to pulverize the steel towers of the WTC as they fell. Is there some unconscious compulsive confession at work here in the use of the phrase "Ground Zero?") See this article and this one, for starters, if you want to take the red pill...

It would not surprise me if, after this Jones news blows away, the momentum continues to rise in the Middle East. In essence, the damage has been done. The jihad fires have been further fanned, whether Jones intended it or not. Powers that be will no doubt use this “free publicity” to political advantage. Welcome to the USI, the United States of Infidels.

Thanks a lot, Pastor Terry, and U.S.I. media. Nice going.

*    *

UPDATE:
According to Bloomberg:
Terry Jones, who arrived in New York City on Sept. 10, is still seeking a meeting with Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, who plans to build an Islamic center near the World Trade Center site. The pastor said in an interview on NBC’s “Today Show” that no meeting has been scheduled.

“We feel that God is telling us to stop,” Jones said yesterday. “And we also hope that with us making this first gesture, not burning the Koran, to say, ‘No, we’re not going to do it, not today, not ever, we’re not going to go back and do it, it is totally canceled.’
(So let me get this straight. Jones is making the "first" move by not burning the Quran, after he made the first move of threatening to burn the Quran...?)

Jones, pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, said on “Today” that the goal of his protest had been accomplished and it wasn’t a publicity stunt.
“We feel that whenever we started this out one of our reasons was to show, to expose that there is an element of Islam that is very dangerous and very radical,” Jones said. “I believe that we have definitely accomplished that mission.”
("We?" Who is "we?" "Doesn't he mean "I?")
("Mission?" This was a mission?)
...one of our reasons was to show..."
(One of them? What were the other reasons?)
From Bloomberg

Anyway, no Quran burning, now or ever, he says. Jones got his fame, got the world's attention, accomplished his "mission." His town hates him, but now he can get on The View or some show, write a book, make his money. It's the American way.

“In politics, if something happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” (FDR, allegedly)

Dowling Duncan redesigns the US bank notes

Dowling | Duncan – Dowling Duncan redesign the US bank notes
(click for source article.)
~

Barry Soetero, Christian Muslim
First U.S. Black President with
2 names and 2 religions...?
Welcome To Your New Money!!

(Stirring, Patriotic music in background...)

Just in time for the demise of the dollar.

New and improved!! - Now More inflated!
Now you'll have less cash to lug around like the old days.
Remember those old bills... printed on all that depressingly green heavy paper? Weighing down your wallet, pulling down your sagging pants until someone thought you were Generation Y and called you "Dude!"?

And sooo easy on your purse shoulder if you're a woman or...
or... er...someone else who likes purses...

No More!

Now these lighter bills are worth less than ever before!! It's like carrying nothing at all!!

And the design! You just gotta love the inspired art nouveau.

Just imagine the thrill of slapping one of these Obama dollar bills on a counter and saying, "Gimme some change! Change I can believe in!"

~ ~ ~ ~

Okay. I'm not sure yet if this is actually happening, but the design by Dowling Duncan is real enough. The bid is out. It may happen.

The lengths of each denomination vary, supposedly for visually impaired people who don't know the difference between a twenty and a fiver. Not only can you can see the difference, you can feel it.

Imagine the joy and relief for those who must quickly handle cash in dark places like alleys and back rooms.

And they are vertically oriented, so that horizontally-challenged people counting cash won't wring their necks stiff from trying to see which...well, you get what I mean.

I'm not sure what's on the back side. Maybe "Federal Reserve Note," since I see no such distinction on the front.
Here are some other possibilities, or so I've heard:
  • "In Fed We Trust...In God We Rust"
  • "Way To Go, Woodrow"
  • "Go Benny...Go Benny...Go Benny...Go Benny..." (in every corner)
  • "Money? What Money?"
  • "Ka-Ching" (in every corner)
Or... maybe there won't be anything on the back.
With all the recent criticism the poor Fed's been taking, maybe the Fed is going to start pretending that, like money, it doesn't really exist. You know, like an inferiority complex. Nobody loves me...

(sniff...)

What's a poor lonely central bank to do?

Introducing "The Ray Gun" - or...How To Heat Your Buns on the Run

http://the-new-american-republic.blogspot.com/2010/08/pain-ray-in-california-prison-amounts.html~
This is a "recently" developed weapon designed to burn you up inside without causing burn marks. Supposedly it will not "harm" anyone, but it will make people (like a crowd of protesters and other innocent civilians) turn and run.

It's called "The Silent Guardian," an almost innocuous-sounding name that sounds more like some household product you might buy at a local hardware store. But not so innocent. This is a serious piece of weaponry. Who made this delightful toy?

Raytheon.

Here's how they describe it:

"The Silent Guardian™ protection system is a revolutionary less-than-lethal directed energy application that employs millimetre wave technology to repel individuals or crowds without causing injury. The system provides a zone of protection that saves lives, protects assets and minimises collateral damage. Silent Guardian produces precise effects at longer ranges than current less-than-lethal systems and provides real-time ability to establish intent and de-escalate aggression. Various commercial and military applications include law enforcement, checkpoint security, facility protection, force protection and peacekeeping missions. The system is available now and ready for action."

"Ready for action." Sounds like the new GI Joe toy in stock. Be the first on your block, and so on...

For you tekkies who love details, you can go here to read Raytheon's pdf product guide. (Scroll down to check out the "demo riot control" pictures in the brochure.)

Here is a video of it in action from "60 Minutes," with reporter David Martin as the guinea pig.

Is this real?       Definitely.
Is he faking?     Probably not.
Is it harmful?     Probably (though it is claimed that it is not).
Is this actually being used somewhere?   Yes.
Check out the following links:
And coming soon to a theater (of war) near you...
"Man-made Lightning" blaster guns - Laser Induced Plasma Channel™ (LIPC) technology, courtesy of Arizona-based company Ionatron. $10 million worth of product to be developed for the US Navy. And yes... the gun will be just like it sounds. Tazer from further away, without all the messy wires. Which I guess makes it a "Phazer." (Can I get sued for using that word?)
(Probably not. I misspelled it.)
You've seen it in Star Trek and many other sci-fi shows and films. It was only a matter of time before we'd see it in the flesh...er...
Poor choice of word. Sorry.

Welcome to the 21st century...

The New American Republic: Ron Paul Calls for Audit of US Gold Reserves

The New American Republic: Ron Paul Calls for Audit of US Gold Reserves
~

Once again, Ron Paul (U.S. Rep. R-Tex) is talking common sense about the economy and how to fix it, and as usual, Washington, and especially the Federal Reserve, is not listening.

For years Ron Paul has been one of the few sane voices crying in the wilderness of US Politics, re-iterating the warnings of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, and John Kennedy (among others) about the insidious dangers of having a US central bank that is above the law, as the Federal Reserve is, and how the Fed's policies have caused inflation, depression, and a 96% downward spiral of the US dollar ever since the Fed's creation in 1913.

BTW, in case you didn't know, the Federal Reserve Bank is NOT federal. Never has been. It is a private corporation.

(See this video: The Money Masters - How International Bankers Gained Control of America. It is long, over three hours, but it is a most informative view of the history of the Fed. There are many good ones out there. Tune in to them. Knowledge is power. Be informed!)

UPDATE on "U.S. Incursion of Costa Rica..."

~
The U.S. Incursion of Costa Rica (and, in time, other places...

August 17, 2010

An excerpt from Op Ed News - GOVERNMENT ASSISTED BP IN COVERING UP EFFECTS OF SPILL - Aug, 10, 2010
"According to the "European Union Times" NATO ordered the U.S. to ship 7,000 Marines to Costa Rica over fear the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico fractures the zone lying between North America and the Caribbean Plates..."
(original Op Ed story here)

(The awkward grammar in that sentence is not mine. I believe the author meant: "...over fear the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico might fracture the zone..." )

No matter. The point is clear, that 7000 U.S. troops were sent to Costa Rica on the chance that they might be needed to stem the further flow of oil, in case of an ocean floor fracture presumably. They are there now, or some of them. According to one report, it would take several months to deploy all 7000 troops and equipment.

It is as good a guess as any as to why they were sent, but I have my doubts that it is to safeguard the isthmus against oil contamination. It's a nice excuse, but if the Army did not step in to help in the Gulf over these last few months, I don't think they are in Costa Rica to help the oil spill there. Besides, according to BP, there is no more oil spill. The well is capped and everything is fine. The oil is gone, like magic! So what do we need 7000 troops in Costa Rica for? There is no oil to clean up or prevent from spilling into the Pacific.

Therefore they must be there for another reason.

I guess as long as they're down there they might as well see if they can help out the deplorable drug situation in Columbia. Or was it Venezuela? No, wait. Venezuela is oil. Columbia is drugs. No, wait. Columbia used to be drugs. Or is it still? Is it oil or is it drugs? Darn, now I'm getting them confused.

Well, maybe they could at least pick up some litter while they are there.

(See my original post here.)

UpDate on Update - August 18, 2010

Here's an interesting coincidence, taking place in Costa Rica:

One death, more cases (5,000) of dengue in Costa Rica
fluetrackers.com ^ | August 15, 2010 | Ara

08.15.2010 16:55:53 / Xinhua Costa Rica reported an alarming increase of 5,000 cases of dengue during the last week, confirms today the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS).

According to official data, this Central American nation went from accounting for 16 200 people affected until last week to register at this time a total of 21,200 infected.

The authorities acknowledged their concern, as the number of people affected this time than the statistics from previous years and could continue to increase with the arrival of the rainy season.

In Costa Rica circulating types 1, 2 and 3 of the dengue virus, transmitted by the aedes aegypti mosquito, whose bite produces a high fever, bone pain and loss of body fluids without treatment can result in death....

(Read more about Dengue Fever on Wikipedia here.)

So what else could those 7000 Marines be doing in Costa Rica besides cleaning up the beaches and looking for drug traffickers and oil leaks?

I must confess, for the moment I am stumped.

Petraeus: Progress in Afghanistan will take time - KIVITV.COM | Boise. News, Breaking News, Weather and Sports-

Petraeus: Progress in Afghanistan will take time - KIVITV.COM | Boise. News, Breaking News, Weather and Sports-

According to General Propaganda….

General David Petraeus made some revealing statements in the above article about why we are really in Afghanistan. Joe-Biden-kind-of-statements that make you slap your forehead and say “Dohh!”

"We're here so that Afghanistan does not once again become a sanctuary for transnational extremists - (eg. like the U.S. military/industrial complex?) - the way it was when al-Qaida planned the 9/11 attacks in the Kandahar area," Petraeus said in an interview taped in Kabul, the Afghan capital.

Petraeus did not, to my knowledge, reveal in which cave the 911 attacks were planned and carried out.

According to GP (Petraeus):
If the U.S. loses (in Afghanistan), there would likely be a bloody civil war followed by a takeover by extremists.

(In other words, the same thing that is happening now with the U.S. there.)

However, if the U.S. “succeeds” and Afghanistan “stabilizes” – basically an oxymoron - the country could become the region's new "Silk Road" with the potential to extract trillions of dollars worth of minerals, he (GP) said.

But the goal is not to turn Afghanistan into an industrialized democracy, he (GP) said.

No, we would not want to do that. That would ruin everything. Think of how easily Bin Laden could hide in an industrialized democracy.

Petraeus said arresting al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden remains a primary goal.
(See related Bin Laden story on Save My Brain HERE)

What a relief to know that we haven’t forgotten the primary goal. Find Bin Laden.

So…Let me get this straight: After 911, we invaded Afghanistan. We have been in Afghanistan for nine years, not to ignore Iraq, and GP is saying that our primary goal is still to find Osama Bin Laden.

Meanwhile, according to the article, lawmakers are beginning to question whether Afghanistan can be won.

Beginning?!...After nine years?!!

Do you feel insulted or stupid reading his statement? I have to admit I do, as stupid or insulted as watching a drug commercial on TV.

- If we “succeed” – not sure what that means –
- Afghanistan becomes a “Silk Road” – not sure what that means –
- (Marco Polo comes to mind) –
- and the U.S. has the potential to extract trillions of dollars worth of “minerals” – not sure what that means, but it sounds much too heavy to hide in a suitcase at an airport -

Strange there’s no mention of justice or freedom, at least not in the referenced article above. Or payback for 911 if we “succeed.” Is success the same as victory? GP does not say. He does not mention packing up and exiting Afghanistan and leaving trillions of dollars of “minerals” behind. He doesn’t even mention leaving if we “find” Bin Laden…

Wait a minute…

Here comes the revelation. The Joe-Biden-slap-to-the- forehead moment.

You know what I think?

Now I don't want to upset General Petraeus by saying this because I know he must be a smart man. After all, he's put an awful lot of thought into his theories about finding Bin Laden and why we're in Afghanistan. But here's what I think...

I think the search for Bin Laden...now get this...has been replaced by the search for the trillions of dollars worth of minerals. You think?

Of course I could be wrong. Maybe, if we fail to find Bin Laden, the trillions of dollars worth of minerals might still make the trip to Afghanistan - and the nine years - worth the effort. GP seems to think so.

What can we learn from all of this? - not sure what that means.

How’s this? In today’s modern world, if the U.S. military moves in, they are there to stay. Period. They are not there to settle a dispute and then leave. Let us understand that right now. The U.S. is not leaving Iraq or Afghanistan, or any other pond it dips its toe into in the Middle East (not sure what that means).

Why would they? After all, there are sooo many fascinating minerals to collect.

Not sure what that means -

Petraeus: Capturing bin Laden still a primary goal

Oh Brother! Dept.

http://www.kivitv.com/Global/story.asp?S=12981766

Be warned!! Bin Laden is still out there!

So says General David Petraeus, the commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan. If he says so, it must be true. Why would an army general lie if it wasn’t true?

Like Che Guevara and Elvis Presley’s ghost, Bin Laden will never die. He still roams through the tortuous "extremely remote" Pakistan or Afghanistan mountain trails with his cane in one hand, dragging his dialysis machine behind him with the other (bad kidneys, remember?). His AK 47 strapped to his shoulder.

I thought being on a dialysis machine was basically a death sentence, but apparently one can live for twenty years or more as long as you flush your kidneys regularly. Good to know.

BTW, Here’s a picture of a dialysis machine below.

I never knew these machines were so portable.
I imagine the generators required to run these machines in the rugged caves and mountains of Afghanistan must be super silent.

Obama mortgages the Gulf of Mexico to BP :: www.uruknet.info :: informazione dal medio oriente :: information from middle east :: [vs-5]

Obama mortgages the Gulf of Mexico to BP :: www.uruknet.info :: informazione dal medio oriente :: information from middle east :: [vs-5]

BP and Obama, sitting in a tree...

Once again, the truth is out there, and the facts are there, hidden in plain sight for all to see - or overlook - as the case may be.

In the case of BP OIL & the Gulf of Mexico, BP wins.

Notice I did not say BP OIL vs. the USA. There was never a contest of BP vs. the USA. The people yes, the government, no. In fact, BP and the U.S. are now bigger pals than ever before. Now they are officially partners. The U.S. is now in the drilling business. BP has proved there is lots of oil in the Gulf, and now the U.S. wants in on the action.

It is now officially okay for one of the largest oil corporations in the world to mess up one of the largest bodies of tropical waters, killing indigenous species and ruining the environment for years…and get away scot-free, with a slap on the wrist. A “token” slap at that.

BP is now "required," over the next three years, to pay 20 billion dollars incrementally into a “disaster fund,” which on the surface sounds like a fair thing to do. However, this amount, which sounds like a lot, is hugely disproportionate to the crimes originally committed, the lives lost, and the crimes that continue in the back rooms. On top of that, how can we put a price on the environmental damage created by a spill of this unprecedented size? What is the price of all of the marine life killed? The beaches forever tarnished? The businesses destroyed? The 11 workers who died and the anguish spilled into the lives of their families? (there has been little media reporting about them)

Money seems to be the only bottom line here - as usual.

20 billion? Suddenly, it does not sound like that much to me now. Cash is now practically non-existent in the world, and “money” is mainly virtual. Where’s the money coming from? Where’s the lesson learned if all BP has to do is sit down in discussion with the likes of Obama and his #1 handler, Rahm Emmanuel, and a few lawyers and bankers and punch in some agreed-upon numbers in a computer? So-called "money" never even changes hands. Who's giving the money? Who's receiving it?

Who benefits?

What’s more, the disaster fund (notice they are not calling it a fine, fee, or any kind of reprimanding words, not that it would matter) is tied in with BP’s continual Gulf work and profits. After this big mess, shouldn’t someone responsible be thrown in jail, or hung? Run out of town? At the very least, shouldn’t BP be out of a job instead of allowing BP to continue on with business-as-usual? At the very least, BP should not be allowed within 1000 miles of the Gulf or any water.

But it’s not going to happen. Because BP and U.S. are pals now. Partners.

Even the Wall Street Journal has raised its eyebrows:
“Tying the disaster fund directly to Gulf oil revenue has obvious political advantages for the company, because it could make the administration and BP partners of sorts in developing the Gulf.” WSJ Here.

Patrick Martin’s article in Uruknet sums up the BP / U.S. “bed-mates” situation neatly:

“Such a move (tying the fund directly to Gulf oil revenue) would coincide with the purposes of the Obama administration, whose main concern, since the Deepwater Horizon disaster began with an explosion that killed 11 oil-rig workers April 20, has been to preserve the profitability and viability of BP. The White House never considered commandeering the assets of the corporate criminal, instead allowing BP to retain control of the disaster site through a series of failed attempts to shut down the oil leak. It has persistently downplayed the possibility of prosecution of any executives from BP or its partners in the well.”

Ongoing with this ugly, brazen, not-so-back-room deal is the ongoing speculation, and in some cases, visible proof, that BP never capped the problem well, and that it is still spewing oil. So much Corexit has dispersed the oil sufficiently to send it to the sea bottom, lending the illusion that all the oil has “gone away”, since the ocean, at least in pictures, looks much cleaner. (However, dead fish are still washing up in the gulf, and on shores as far away, apparently, as New Jersey. Coincidence? Go Here. )

In addition, It is known that BP had two wells going. Well #1 ran into problems, and so they abandoned it and started Well #2, the scene of the explosion. It is speculated that BP is using closed-down Well #1 to impersonate “capped” Well #2. There are many stories on this on the internet. Here is one link.

When in doubt, spread conspiracy and confusion. Disinformation and diversion. Distracting attention through somewhat related, yet bogus media stories, or sometimes completely unrelated stories like the tragedy of Lindsay Lohan in jail. This is the way the dark side works to stay out of the light. When this happens, as it seems to more often, you can be sure something else is going on that is hidden.

“In politics there are no accidents,” Franklin Delano Roosevelt once (allegedly) said. “If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.”
